Step back through time... into the days of the pioneers at our historic pioneer bed and breakfast.

As our guest, you will sink into feather beds* and pillows with quilts and down comforters* with a hot water bottle to warm the bed if it's one of those cold nights. Sleep in peace and wake with coffee and tea ready for you.

Wake up early to help milk the cow, gather the eggs and slop the hogs, cows, chickens and horses before it's time to eat.

Or sleep in and wake in time for a hearty country breakfast cooked on an antique cookstove. Firing up the wood cookstove around 7am, with breakfast at 9am, allows time for memories.

During the rest of the day, take off for parts known and unknown or stay with us. You can help restore the historic Flora School during work days, or help us restore the historic buildings and houses on our place. Or it might be time to make soap, do the canning and "putting by", or dip a few candles, some blacksmith work. You can also weave on the looms available or spin a yarn or two (either with fiber or a tall tale). Or, maybe just sit back and relax, do nothing!

*Due to allergies of some guests, we do not have the feather bedding on at all times. But we do have wonderful quilts. Request the feather bedding if you would like to sink into old time comfort.

Loved our stay at North End Crossing. Dan and Vanessa were wonderful hosts. By the time we left they felt like family to us. We have not been able to return for 3 years now, but plan on making another trip this next summer just to see them! The beds were comfy feather beds (just like the olden days) and the food was outrageously good, all cooked on her wood stove. In the evening we sat around and played some games, but the conversation never ceased to flow. Of all the places we have ever stayed, this one gets a perfect 10, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to leave the city life behind and just relax!
