Barclay Cottage Bed and Breakfast is one of only two Victorian cottages that are still in existence at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The two story wrap around porches and mansonyard roof are typical of Victorian cottage design and many such homes are seen in old pictures of the beach. Located on a dead-end street in an historic neighborhood only a 2 minute walk to the beach, it provides a romantic alternative to high-rise hotel/motel lodging. Antiques, hand-made quilts, and Victorian memorabilia take one back to a time when things moved more slowly and people were more civil. The inn has all modern amenities including free property-wide WIFI and a guest computer and business center.
