Caroline Bissell and her Belgian born husband Etienne took over the family homestead in 2002 and turned it to a Bed and Breakfast that blends history and modern comfort. The house has been in Caroline’s family since its construction in 1870. The Second Empire house is located on the last Historic Main Street in Connecticut. Large sidewalks enable the visitor to discover the many antique houses of both South and North Main streets. The town has two historic museums – The Hathaway House and the King Museum. Few miles down the road, the New England Air Museum houses one of the best aircraft collections in the country. The B&B is conveniently located between Hartford and Springfield. Spencer On Main is the ideal place to relax after a busy day at one the many shows at the Eastern State Exposition in West Springfield MA. Free pickup and drop off to Bradley International Airport and Windsor Locks Amtrak Station are offered free of charge. Limo service can be arranged at very competitive price to and from New York and Boston.
