This antique hotel, built in 1846 for the steamboat travelers on the Des Moines River, is filled with origial antiques. The Main house looks much like it did in the 1800s except for the private bathrooms in each room. We also have indivdual heating and air conditioning in each room and also wireless internet. The annexed store building has two bedrooms, each with a king size bed and private bathroom. The Caboose Cottage has a queen bed and satellite TV, kitchenette, dining area, and private bathroom with shower. The village of Bentonsport is very quiet and peaceful. You can take a walk on the old bridge, or meditate in the Rose Garden. The unique shops are open daily from 10am to 5pm from April to November. The Mason House Inn is open all year long. Our winters are mild and the summers are just right. You can rent just one room, or two, or all nine rooms for your group activity or family reunion. Chuck and Joy Hanson are retired from the Air Force and Joy is an avid quilter.
