The Gatehouse Country Inn Bed and Breakfast began as a carriage house, icehouse, barn, stable and hayloft. It was renoved into an elegant country home by the famous musician and bandleader, Fred Waring. Today, it features 5 unique guest rooms, each decorated individually and featuring private baths. Breakfast is served in the large Great Room where you are served at your own table overlooking the private courtyard and Icehouse--now The Icehouse Antique Shop. Close to 70,000 acres of national parkland, situated on The Delaware River, The Gatehouse Country Inn is minutes from golf, skiing, hiking, fine dining, canoeing and shopping. Open year 'round.

I have stayed several times at The Gatehouse Country Inn - in Summer and Winter. Very relaxing and such a respite from the hectic life. Our room was so comfortable, CLEAN, and cozy, the owners were always so friendly, and the house is so interesting, with its history. The breakfasts are really hearty and delicious, not to mention an occasional jolly cocktail hour with Cindy and Gordon, the owners.
