Low Penhowe’ is old Yorkshire dialect for ‘the sheep pen on a hill’. Today, the house has been described as “a very elegant home” by the English Tourist Council, which has awarded owners Philippa and Christopher Turner the Council’s 5 Stars and the Gold award for their outstanding Yorkshire B&B. For the last three years we have been awarded “Yorkshire Finalist for Guest Accommodation of the Year”
