Sally and John have been running The Denes since April 2000. The Denes is an Edwardian house and original fireplaces can be found in every room; the one in the lounge came from Hollerday Hill house the home of the publisher George Newnes that mysteriously burnt down in 1913.
The Denes is near to the Valley of Rock a natural scenic site that has feral goats and Exmoor ponies. Exmoor is walking country and The Denes makes an excellant base to explore Exmoor.
