One of the most Envied positions in Bowness We overlook Lake Windermere and many of our rooms have stunning views of the Lake, ideally positioned just 150yrd from the lake and only 1 min. walk to village centre and tourist attractions, Beatrix Potter Attraction just on our door step. All rooms have central heating, tea trays, colour TV, clock radios, hair dryer, irons/boards, ceiling fans all are brightly decorated and well furnished with country Pine all rooms of course have a comfy bed!!.. We provide a fully home cooked Full English breakfast each day and can happily cater for vegetairians, we use only produce sourced locally. We are a family run establishment and have been running New Hall Bank for the past 12 years we can now boast much of our business is from repeat guests. We are a four Star Guesthouse awarded by Visit Britain (formally English Tourist Board) We have parkiing for all rooms.

Just spent the most wonderful seven night stay at this guesthouse - we stayed in room 9 which has a kingsize bed and the most brillient lake view - could have stayed in the room for the duration but there is so much to see and do and Doug is great at helping to plan your days out - I would suggest to anyone reading this to check thier web site direct www.newhallbank.co.uk for more about this place - they do offers during low seasons and I will be going back sooooooon - WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We have been staying at this guesthouse each year for the past 11 years - we have only just found this site to post a review - we now treat this as our home from home in the Lakes. It is so well positioned has car parking (which is a massive plus) and the rooms are stunning especially if you can get one with lake views (book well in advance) if you are not lucky to get a lake view room no worries as the dining room overlooks the lake also!!!! - the rooms are very well presented and equiped we need only to bring clothes bathrooms are not the biggest we have used but have all you need - always masses of hot water for that refreshing shower after a trip on the lake or a hike on the fells. This area is very popular andis conveinient for travelling around the lakes. This guesthouse gained 4 stars last year and it is not before time the owners work very hard to maintain their high standards and are helpfull and friendly We would have no prooblems in urging you to book here if you want to visit the lakes - Book in advance as they dont often have last minuet availability due to their location.

Stayed here in June found it on the web and cannot praise it highly enough - The location is fantastic so handy for the village and lake yet not on a main road so no traffic noice - there is everything you need in the room - we had a lake view room which very comfy and the view was to die for - The owners Doug & Ivy Wilson are just fantastic helped us to plan our days out and made us feel really at home - would recommend to anyone without hesitation to give this a go - They do not take 1 night stays in advance but worth phoning on the day to see if anything available - it is 4 star but should be 5 *****
