Detchant Farm is a family run farm, with 2 of our daughters running it. We are arable, but our main enterprise now is free range egg production. We have 40.000 hens and are in the process of building another new shed for this, which will take our numbers up to 56.000 hens. We also have a large retail round where we sell to 10 Asda stores and to local restaurants, B&B's local shops, in fact to anyone who wants to use a good local product. We are on the Northumberland coast with its many castles, including Bamburgh and Alnwick, also famous for its wonderful gardens . We are but a stones throw away from the sea and its beaches, so do come and see us, where you will be given a warm welcome. If you are interested to see round the farm, you only have to ask.
