We fluked at a stay at the Steeples in the cottage, unbelievable views and the walk in the morning to the seal colonty was great. Excellent meal at the local Star Tavern. Pauline made us very welcome and we will be back some day!!!!

The studio in the garden was ideal and very comfortable and the views were just stunning great breakfasts and good chats with the hosts over a beer and glass of wine just superb after a day of sightseeing.

One of the nicest surprizes of our trip in October 2007. The separate cottage is a large space, clean and comfortable. Terricfic modern shower and large firm bed. The sea cliff lawn is manicured to perfection. Our hosts were friendly and it was nice to be able to make our own breakfast with the provisions in the kitchen. We wish we could stay here a week or two. Thank You Pauline and Bruce. Traci and Greg.

We were looking for a relaxing break from our own holiday accommodation business, we felt relaxed as soon as we stepped in the door, the views are amazing, and the cottage was fantastic, cosy, warm and welcoming. Great walks and friendly locals. Try the local pub and The Bayhouse Restaurant.

The cottage is perfect and the location has an absolutely stunning view ! We were sad that we stayed only one night, but we enjoiyed our stay very much ! The tip from Pauline for the walk to see the seals was wonderful and the Star tavern had good food for us (say hello to them from Klaus who draw the map :-) Thanks much

Pauline and Bruce were quite outstanding in their warm welcome and did lots of small kindnesses to make our stay very memorable. The house and garden were spotless and weedless and beautifully decorated and designed. A wonderful place to stay.

Pauline and Bruce have the most superb self contained unit. It was a one time experience which was difficult to leave.

We were 2 nights in March 2003 at Steeples homestay and it was a great time; one of my two favourite B+Bs in NZ. Bruce and Pauline are very nice hosts and the view from the kitchen is magnificient. We would like to stay there again if we come back to NZ.
