Prospect House is situated on the outskirts of Hokitika on an ancient river terrace property of some 10 acres. This lovely colonial style family home commands sweeping views of the Southern Alps, has beautiful gardens and trees and is owned by a caring, friendly family. Our guest books are full of accolades as to the space and luxurious comfort of our home and the friendliness of the host family.All say that they wish they had arranged their trip so that they could stay longer. This spacious home features native rimu timbers, central heating, large deck and BBQ facilities, piped music throughout and full office facilities too. The main suite contains a King size double bed and full ensuite plus tea and coffee making facilities as well. Adjoining this is a separate bedroom with a double and single bed. The second suite has a Queen size bed and ensuite. Breakfast can be either continental or a full cooked breakfast. Our interests vary from the garden to music, current affairs, sport flying and yes .... catering for guests. We can arrange scenic flights for you to the Glaciers or to the historic goldtown port of Okarito or to other interesting destinations. We can also assist to arrange other adventures for you. We have two dogs, a Westie and a Scotty. We also have two cats. To find us, if travelling from North turn left into Hampden Street, continue on for 3km without turning again.
