We have restored our 1930's character villa to her former glory with the addition of modern convenience including modern bathrooms with instant gas heated hot water (no fear of cold showers) and gas central heating for witner comfort. Each of our rooms has double or queen bed and a single, to accommodate friends or family travelling together. Rooms have drawer and wardrobe space so you don't have to live out of a suitecase. Comfy chairs and TV with SKY is in each room, or relax in the main lounge with your hosts. Parents travelling with a wee one can use our portacot and bedding. Our sunny covered rear deck offers a place to relax with a book, coffee or wine all year round. When no-one is home the property is secured with a monitored alarm, guests have their own code.
Just a short flat walk to Waterloo train station then a 20 minute ride into the heart of Wellington to explore or go to the Westpac Stadium. Across the river from Open Polytech and a short car or bus trip to Weltec. Close to Lower Hutt city center (a 20 minute walk or bus on the corner) Queensgate shopping mall, Town and Horticulture Halls, Dowse Art Gallery, Hutt and Boulcott hospitals. The Open Polytech is a 5 minute walk away, Weltec is a short bus or drive from here.
Your hosts have lived in the Wellington and Hutt Valley region most of their lives and are happy to offer advice on things to see and do. We are a mature couple and experienced grandparents who can babysit while parents take a well earned night out alone.
