We invite you to Angus House, a peaceful, friendly place to stay.

We enjoy rural views to the north, and our north facing covered deck, overlooking the swimming pool, is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the sun.

The south side has private courtyard with fish and lily pond and views of Mt Ruapehu. Smoking is permitted on the deck or courtyard, but not in the house.

We offer a choice of the family lounge or a separate guest lounge. TV, radio and CD player for your convenience in both. Self serve tea and coffee is available at all time, as are laundry facilities. Fax,internet & email on request.

Dinner is available by arrangement. Alternatively, there are restuarants in Otorohanga town centre which is less than a kilometre away. Even closer is the Kiwi House and Aviary.

Local activities beyond Otorohanga include Waitomo Caves 20km away where there is adventure caving, blackwater rafting, abseiling, and horse trekking. Trout fishing, bush walks, farm and garden visits are amongst the other attractions the region provides. We are able to assist you with places of interest.

We are both in our early retirement years, but we are still very active. Michael has a custom picture framing business which he runs from home. We are well travelled, and have twelve years in the hospitality industry.

We enjoy life and love meeting people, as do our two shorthair cats, and you will be assured of a warm welcome.

This place wins on hospitality. Michael and Pauline are exactly the type of people who should host B&Bs. Good touches like bubble bath and toiletries. This is very much a homestay - you are in their house. Food is good as well - we had a very nice dinner. A luggage rack would be a nice addition to the rooms.
