Three storied Swiss style lodge surrounded with native bush. Offering luxury accommodation with special alpine ambiance. Spectacular views of Mount Egmont/Taranaki and Egmont National Park opposite front gate. Landscaping includes all New Zealand natives, lakes, waterwheel and bushwalks. 8km to Stratford Plateau and skifield. Tramping, walking, skiing, summit climbs, native birds, ancient bush, trout streams, gardens and museums nearby. Private helicopter summit flights. Pet sheep, pig, ducks etc. Swiss Berta Anderson has owned mountain lodges since 1976, winning many awards. Beautiful paintings from Keith, her husband (died Feb 03) are displayed.
