16 Havelock Bed and Breakfast
- Reviewed by Brian
I found 16havelock through the marvels of Google and Google maps. There are lots of B&Bs in New Plymouth to choose from, but something about this one stood out, whatever it was that got me here, I'm sure glad it did. We had the best nights sleep we'd had for our entire trip. The super comfy Queen sized bed was so luxurious and with plenty of pillows, we slept like bears in hibernation. The Freeview TV in the room was an unexpected bonus. The bathroom was a share situation but all the other amenities and impeccable service well made up for any minor complaint I would have. The breakfast and service were incredible and I recommend anyone stay here while in New Plymouth. |

Timata Ora
- Reviewed by ross
My wife & I, together with another couple, stayed at Timata Ora for two nights in July 2009. We cannot praise Carol & Rodney's Timata Ora B&B enough. It is idealy located in easy walking distance to the City Centre and to attractions such as the waterfront and Pukekura Gardens, yet private and quiet. The rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable and the welcome and personal friendly attention were great. Breakfast, both cooked and continental were perfect. If the above seems "over the top", just put it down to our enthusiasm after a great stay! We have no hesitation in recommending Timata Ora....lots of charm and character....why would one bother with a hotel? |

The Grange
- Reviewed by Dolores
We spent 3 nights in the Grange on our 5-weeks journy all over NZL and it was one of the most beautyful B&B we've seen. We will always remember our Chistmas Picknick on the patio and this great Christmas-Morning-Breakfast which Rachel & Alan prepared for us (strawberrys for Christmas - not evident, if you life in Switzerland...). Rachel & Alan were sooo very nice, generous and helpful and had useful tips (restaurants, beaches...) and we can recommande this place at any time! PS. during the winter months, there is a light & music festival in a nice park very near the B&B, just great! |

Arcadia Lodge
- Reviewed by Rose
Hosts Joanne and Mark Long assured my stay at Arcadia Lodge was both comfortable and memorable. The beautifully restored villa proves ideal B&B accomodation, offering both privacy and a unique sense of homliness rarely experienced at similar establishments. I was entirely 'wowed' by Joanne's generous cooked breakfast and couldn't fault the other amenities provided during my stay. A 'must see' for both families and regular travellers, Arcadia Lodge is a real gem; I can't wait to return to my home away from home. |

Maureen and Denis welcomed us into their home and were most helpful with their local knowledge. The accomodation was excellent, food was wonderful and the location was good as a base for touring the New Plymouth area. Thank you for a pleasant and memorable stay! |

This is the friendliest and cleanest place we have ever stayed in. It was lovely to be made to feel so welcome. Everything you could & want was provided. The breakfast was superb. We would not stay anywhere else in New Plymouth again. |
