Waiorau Homestead is nestled in a beautiful rural setting on the outskirts of Lake Wanka in the historic Cardrona Valley.Now a unique ski resort in winter and world class mountain biking and hiking terrain in summer.

The Homestead has an elegant and comfortable interior. There are three guest bedrooms, two with ensuites and one with a private bathroom including a spa-bath.The bedrooms are individually decorated with iconic New Zealand themes, including artworks from local artists. The finest linen and bedding is used to dress the extra comfortable beds. All bathrooms have under floor heating, heated mirrors, towelling robes, hair dryers and boutique bathroom products.

Guests can relax in the private guest lounge and dining room. The exclusive guest lounge has all the comforts of home – games, library, large log fire and computer with internet access.

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast either in the guest dining room or on the veranda during summer months. Dinner is prepared by the resident chef using fresh local produce from the homestead’s own vegetable garden and orchard as well as locally sourced lamb, beef, venison, trout and salmon.

We are situated two minutes from the access roads to 3 major skifields and less than 2km from the world famous Cardrona Hotel, New Zealand's oldest.

You can simply relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings or come and unwind from the countless local activities including hiking and mountain biking, quad-biking, horse riding, fishing, hunting, golf, watersports, skiing and snowboarding.
