Welcome to our modern home at the beginning of the Kauri Coast. We are approximately half way between Auckland and the Bay of Islands so a good place to break your journey north.
Our comfortable bedrooms have excellent beds, electric blankets, and hair dryers. Great shower and separate bath plus tea/coffee making facilities. The laundry is always available.
The light and airy lounge/dining area comes complete with a large bay window to read or snooze on in the sun. Extensive decks provide nearly 360degree views of rolling farmland extending to the Brynderwyn Hills.Enjoy the magnificent sunsets over a glass of wine before a superb dinner (other options available if preferred). Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and enjoy our warm hospitality.
Landfall Lodge makes an ideal base from which to explore the wild West Coast beaches,Northlands World famous Kauri Museum, local golf courses and delightful Mangawhai beach with its great coastal walk.
Your hosts have spent many years at sea, including an eight and a half year circumnavigation by way of the Suez & Panama Canals visiting a number of out of the way places en route, including a British National Park in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Now we have made landfall on a 10 acre block with lots of new challenges. We enjoy gardening, oil painting, writing, walking, travel and people.
Ours is a peaceful, relaxed, rural lifestyle and we would love you to come and share it with us. Single party policy for your privacy

Very friendly, helpful. Reception and hospitality both excellent. Accommodation excellent, quiet peaceful, outlook very rural but not very far from beach or cafes.
