We enjoy a maritime and semi-rural situation, ideally situated midway between Nelson and Motueka. We are handy to all the fine attractions that this region has to offer - National Parks, wineries, award winning restaurants, beaches, arts and crafts, the famous Mapua Wharf and lots lots more. We have 35 years local knowledge and are happy to assist you to make the most of your holiday.

Actually, this stay gave us a new standard, with which to judge other places, it was that good. Nothing was too much for Jenny & John Marchbank to do for us or help us with. On a scale from 1-10, this was at least a 10+++ ! I'm a Wexford senator in Ireland, and travel a lot. I prefer to stay in upscale B&Bs or small boutique hotels, and the service tends to be quite good.The standard of service at Sandstone House surpassed ANYTHING I've experienced before. I would happily and wholeheartedly recommend Sandstone House to anyone going to the Nelson area.

Our two-day stay at Sandstone House was a delight, from start to finish. John and Jenny Marchbanks are the perfect hosts; and their home, with beautiful views of the sea, is stunning. Jenny fixes a delicious full breakfast to start your day off just right. We loved it!
