Muritai Manor is an Edwardian colonial home, built in 1903 for the local Archdeacon. Whilst retaining the charm of many original features – spacious rooms, high ceilings, native timber floors and kauri fireplaces – it has also been modernised to provide four comfortable in-house guest rooms (all en-suite) with free wireless internet connections. For those of you wanting more privacy our Garden Room is separate from the main house and is very popular with honeymooners. This room has recently been upgraded with new en-suite and kitchen area.
Muritai Manor is set in a semi-rural location but is only a few minutes away from Nelson’s buzzing café bars and restaurants. In the morning enjoy a delicious breakfast including eggs from our own free-range hens. You can spend the day exploring the region’s three National Parks, discovering art galleries and local wineries or simply enjoying our spa pool and solar heated swimming pool. In the evening join us for a complimentary glass of local wine.
