Situated beside the beautiful Maitai River, Sussex House has retained all the original character and romantic ambience of the era. It is only minutes walk from central Nelson's award winning restaurants and cafes, the Queens Gardens, Suter Art Gallery and Botanical Hill (The Centre Of NZ) and many good walks, river and bush. The five sunny bedrooms all have TV's and are spacious and charmingly furnished. All rooms have access to the verandahs and complimentary tea & coffee facilities are provided. Breakfast includes lots of fresh and preserved fruits, homemade muffins baked fresh every morning, hot croissants, homemade yoghurts, cheeses and a large variety of cereals, bagels, rolls, breads and crumpets. Sussex House provides a smoke free environment and all foods, to the best of our knowledge, are free from genetically modified ingredients. We regret that we are not suited to children.
