Joe and Kay, What a wonderful slice of heaven, and we are so lucky to have shared it with you. Kay, your skill with cooking and your art of presentation are awsome. Forget having dinner in a restaurant, your dinners and cocktail time(with a view) far surpass going to a restaurant. Art and Irene Fenwick P.S. Bought your cookbook ... think it is useful for all cooking ...not just boating |

Thank you for extending ValentineÂ’s Day over a long weekend. We both feel very pampered after two days of excellent food, massages, and great company. A special thanks for combining Opera in the Park, fireworks and flaming Mexican Coffees. We will return home to Wellington full of praise. |

We are so glad to find people like you in the hospitality business. We came because you sounded friendly and interesting and we found this to be true, even for Tyson who is a thoroughly welcoming canine. Finding "foodies" like you is also very special for "foodies" like us! |

..How could 3 days feel like an entire vacation? What if I never move on? What if I do? So you see my dilemma. What it means is that you have exceeded all my wishes for a smooth beginning to my Adventure in New Zealand. Thank you so sincerely for sharing your delightful lives and marvellous culinary talents. LetÂ’s keep in touch. Anyone who is looking for a warm, hospitible, delightful place to stay with wonderful breakfasts, and if you are really lucky: dinner, too...should join Kay & Joe at A Culinary Experience. The location is a bit out of the way, but they make it easy for you....and it's a delightful little town, too. I'll be back, for sure. Sue Baum, Washington, DC |

What a wonderful place for a restorative stay - the food, the wine, the conversation, the view, the massage, the evening spa with champers, the warm hospitality, and Tyson, the dog-- all good for the soul. This B and B is a "must do" for anyone travelling to this region. |

Thank you for such a wonderful time these past couple of days...it truly was an experience! The food, the conversations, my Latin Quarter room, the spa, the massage, and the heated tile floor were all wonderful – and the list goes on and on. In the grand New Zealand tradition, you have managed to create a truly superior B&B. I would happily come back anytime to my new friends in Nelson! |

After a month of travel from the north of the North Island to the south of the South Island we have been exposed to an enormous number of B&B's. Some were marvelous, some mediocre and one positively unpleasant. A-Culinary-Experience proved to be the leader of the "marvelous" group without any doubt what-so-ever. From their lovely home with it's view of the bay across the Boulder Bank to their fantastic breakfasts and uncommon attention to our needs as travelers in this wonderful land, Kay and Joe were the perfect hosts. A truly memorable experience. New Zealand is awesome and so is this B&B. |
