Relax at this warm timber Lodge with its comfortable beds and hearty BBQ breakfasts. Set on four acres, we have various animals and a friendly dog. The Buller River provides fishing access and swimming holes; trees and mountains surround us, yet Murchison's cafes are within five minutes walk. Unpack your bags; stay for a while to explore three National Parks; fly-fish, raft or play golf before returning home to a cold beer on the sunny verandah or a wine in front of the log fire.

WOW!! A wonderfully relaxing surprise in the middle of Kiwi-country paradise! Shirley and Merve have taken the B&B experience to a higher level. It could only have been better if Kali (their dog) could have brought me my drinks in the evenings. The lounge and bedrooms are all very well appointed and the utmost comfortable with modern appliances. So relaxing it was that twice I fell asleep in front of their fireplace... for hours. The landscaping, architecture, and interior decor are done with a keen eye for tranquility and balance with nature. All very pleasing and relaxing. Breakfast is sheer delight! Freshly made juices and homebaked breads to go with the already hearty spread .... Magnificent!! I especially enjoyed chatting over a glass or two of their own homemade spirits in the evening. Words don't begin to say enough about Shirley and Merve's gracious hospitality. The super-friendly personal attention and commitment to an overall experience is something that many B&Bs miss the mark on. Murchison Lodge B&B scores a perfect 10 in my book.
