Ludlow B&B/Farmstay is a working 560 hectare extensive cropping farm, 20 mins south of Hastings, growing mainly wheat and barley, squash pumpkins, sweetcorn and peas with lamb and beef finishing. Our recently renovated shearers' cottage is situated in private surroundings, 50 metres from main homestead, with full kitchen facilities, laundry, open fire and views over the Drumpeel Valley Farmland, with stock grazing alongside the cottage. Swimming pool and Astrograss tennis court available for guests' use. Farm tour available on request. Expect a warm welcome from Mindy the Jack Russell terrier. (Cot and highchair available for infants)

My husband and I spent a delightful 4 nights here in March 2008 - Gwen and Neil could not have been more hospitable or welcoming. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully & thoughtfully provisioned and it made the idea base for a 4 day visit to Hawkes Bay and the wineries. |
