Muesum Lodge is a wonderful and luxurious place to stay. We are upstairs in a New Zealand historic building in the very centre of the town of Dannevirke (population 7000+). Your hosts are Bruce & Maureen Lyon.

We supply a wonderful breakfast and can also supply dinner if requested.
Please let us know if you require a lactose or gluten free breakfast - we are happy to assist.

We have a full disabled and wheelchair access suite on the ground floor, as well as the two large rooms upstairs - each with a seperated but private bathroom.
One upstairs room can be either superking or two king single beds as may be required.
The downstairs suite is 2 bedrooms - 1 with queen size bed and 1 with double/single bunk combination that can sleep another 3 people.
Ideal for those with a disability or for a family accommodation.
If you are bringing children, please let us know and we can accommodate a price to suit childrens ages and numbers.

Included for your comfort, we provide a private guest lounge, as well as use of lounge, library, dining room and other building facilities.
Secure vehicle yard at the rear for your overnight parking.

On the ground floor we also own and operate an 'International Police Museum' that opened in July 2010. This contains police memorabilia from around the world, including several police vehicles. Bruce served 36 years in New Zealand law enforcement before retiring in late 2009.
Access to the International Police Museum is complimentary & free for those staying in the Museum Lodge B&B, and we can usually accommodate an afterhours viewing if you desire it.

Maureen is a caregiver for eldery and disabled people, so we are well aware of the needs of their (and your) needs.

We are also rainbow (GLBTTI) friendly and you can be assured of a warm welcome for your stay.
