Join us on our 440 hectare hill country sheep and cattle farm and enjoy all that rural NZ life offers. Very close to the homestead but secluded by established trees is a three bedroom totally self contained cottage. From this cosy home feel the remote peace and tranquillity along with the magnificent views of the trout filled Hangaroa River and waterfall. We encourage guests to participate in rural activities including fishing, wild game shooting, horse and motor bike riding, possum shooting and eeling. Warm friendly back country hospitality is our specialty. Children most welcome but no pets.

Hello, I stayed at Rongoio farm stay last summer and had the most wonderful time. I have never been on a farm before and am a bit of a city girl, but our hosts were so welcoming and made my stay unforgettable. I spent many hours relaxing and swimming by the river. I even enjoyed the animals, feeding the resident pig each day, How is Arabella? I encourage every one to visit, you will have an amazing time, however be careful-you may not want to leave! Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
