We welcome you to share the peaceful environment of our Coromandel Peninsula paradise. You have the choice of our Pacific Room upstairs with magnificent sea views, Queen sized bed, private balcony and en suite, or the ground floor of our beach house, which is available for up to four people. The self contained ground floor, has a double bedroom , private bathroom and cooking facilities as well as a sofa bed in the living area. Sample the excellent local seafood. Delicious home cooked meals are available by arrangement.
We are just two minutes walk from the magnificent white sands of Opito Bay beach. Enjoy a scenic walk to the historic Maori Pa site, or a beach ramble (our dog will lead the way). Opito Bay offers excellent diving, safe swimming and boating. Fishing among the Mercury Islands is “magic”. You may sit under a Pohutukawa tree with a good book or with luck see the dolphins which occasionally visit.
To complete a relaxing stay at Leighton Lodge you have the choice of nearby golf courses, kayaking, or bush walking. From Opito bay, within an hours drive there is Coromandel town, Hot Water, Hahei and Cooks beaches, plus the cafes and excitement of bustling Whitianga.
