Garden View B&B was the best B&B experience we had during our month in NZ in '09. Beth Keoghan was the most gracious hostess one could hope for and her accommodations and breakfasts were first-rate. The gardens planted and maintained by her husband, John, were simply beautiful and the house was very comfortable. Beth made you feel right at home and insisted on taking care of you. As a matter of fact, she wouldn't let us leave on a day trip to Akaroa until she had finished preparing a picnic lunch for us. And then, when we were at the airport at Christchurch waiting for our flight home, we saw Beth in the crowd, waving at us. We thought she came all the way there to see us off (something we would not have been at all surprised to have happen), but she really was there to pick up an arriving guest. If you are in the Christchurch area and are looking for a B&B, make sure to stay at the Garden View because it'll make your day!
