Peace Privacy Comfort Nestled in a secluded two and half acre wooded garden in a 50 acre lifestyle block adjacent to the Hanmer Springs golf course, RIPPINVALE COUNTRY RETREAT is an easy 10 min walk to the Hanmer Springs Thermal Reserve, village, restaurants and shops.
This large country home built in traditional NZ colonial style of mud brick boasts SPECTACULAR UNINTERRUPTED ALPINE VIEWS WITH ALL OF TODAYS MODERN COMFORTS. A separate wing provides our guests with TOTAL PRIVACY AND COMFORT in their own cosy S/C suite. Each centrally heated suite has a queen size bed, ensuite and sitting room, complimentary tea/coffee facilities DELICIOUS HOME BAKED TREATS, TV, fridge, hair dryers, woollen underlays and electric blankets. French doors open onto your own private courtyard garden. (Guests are welcome to smoke in the garden.) A FULL SPECIAL (MENU) BREAKFAST OF THE FRESHEST NZ PRODUCE, such as home made preserves, local Salmon, free range eggs and fruit from our orchard, can be served in your suite, the garden or join us in our farmhouse kitchen. By prior arrangement we will pack a picnic hamper or provide a supper tray if you are arriving late. For total relaxation, Helen, a Massage Therapist, is able to provide THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE to ease tired and stressed muscles or for those wanting a more active stay John, an experienced hunting guide, can arrange free chase HUNTING/FISHING TRIPS, hiking, CAMERA HUNTS, or 4WD TREKS through our magnificent countryside. Other facilities include a tennis court and petanque terrain. We both enjoy meeting new friends and sharing our love of this region with them. With our wealth of local knowledge we can help you get the most from your stay in Hanmer Springs. We both have many varied interests which include a love of the outdoors and the mountains, skiing, painting, music, gardening, reading, golf and flying. Together with our 13 year old son Matthew, Labrador Meg (indulged and always on a diet) and burmese cat Lilly we are sure you will enjoy sharing this special place with us. TO FIND US: At the cross road junction before the village take ARGELINS RD, go past golf club and turn sharp left into RIPPINGALE RD (no exit) approx 800 mtrs at the foot of the hill you will see our stone gate way and sign.
