The Rookery is one of Lyttelton's oldest cottage B&B accommodation with delightful terraced gardens and wonderful panoramic views over the harbour, hills and volcanic cliffs. To capture the character of the Victorian era we paid particular attention to the colours, finishes and facilities that ensure our visitors' enjoyment during their stay with us. Broadband internet with wireless router are available, plus Digital Theatre in our South bedroom and DVD in our North bedroom. All our rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable with double glazing and underfloor heating. Lyttelton is a vibrant port full of interest and one of New Zealand's most popular locations. The township offers plenty of diversity with cafes, restaurants, clubs, music venues, galleries and a superb museum full of exotic memorabilia - all only a short drive from central Christchurch. Angus is an industrial/interior designer and furniture maker with many years experience in the music industry in Europe, Australia and New Zealand where he been a senior lecturer in a local Art and Design school. Rene enjoys making wine, quilts, gardening and walking the many local tracks with her friends.
