Welcome to Belmont on Harewood. We provide a courtesy airport pickup. We are wheel chair friendly, located 7 minutes from Christchurch airport and 10 minutes from the city centre. For your business, holiday arrival and departures, we are perfectly located.

Excellent shopping including Northlands Mall, movie theatres and a wide choice of restaurants and cafes are within a 3 minute walk from our home. An excellent bus service en route to Christchurch City, Christchurch Airport, and the city's major shopping malls, is at our front door. We are close to the Antarctic Centre, Willowbank and Orana Park Wildlife Reserves. We have secure off-street parking.

You do'nt meet nicer people than Jan and Allan. We felt more like members of their extended family than guests. They provided us with great memories. Thanks for everything.

I live in Canada and retired from my job in July 2006. My wife told me to take a break on my own and get away. After some research and always having a desire to visit New Zealand, I picked Christchurch and The Belmont on Harewood to have my retirement holiday. I shall never regret my decision, from country, city or place to stay and had the most fabulous six week vacation. Allan and Jan were the most perfect hosts and made me very welcome and comfortable, as did their dog Taylor and their cat Possum. Even after three weeks into my stay, I decided to bring my wife Sue over to New Zealand, Allan and Jan made her feel so welcome and at home. Sue and I run a Bed and Breakfast in Markham, Ontario, Canada and The Belmont is run exactly how we expect our Bed and Breakfast The O'Hara Inn to operate. Thanks Allan and Jan for a wonderful stay, thanks for all the little extras you did for us and be rest assured, we will return in the very near future.

Despite the frigid cold of Christchurch in July, we've greatly enjoyed our time here- undoubtedly this is due to the personality of our host and hostess, dog and cat. We have stayed in BnB's across the US, Canada and New zealand and have never encountered this level of hospitality. Thanks so much for the great experience.
