My friend (from Australia) and I stayed 2 nights, and found everything was of a high standard, but we were particularly impressed with the kindness and hospitality of our hosts. Even though we did not require breakfast (and they kindly deducted cost) they nevertheless prepared toast and tea (with trimming) for us, and treated us like family whenever we were in the house. Their friendliness, kindness, and hospitality was exceptional. They were so helpful with advice and assistance and their time. We would recommend both Irvine and Susan Munro and their lovely home to other suitable homestays. We enjoyed our stay in Rotorua and most certainly Irvice and Sue and their lovely home will be remembered as part of that trip. 18 Nov 2003

This is, in our opinion, one of the best moderately priced B&B's in NZ. Comfortable beds, friendly helpful hosts, very clean, excellent breakfast. We were treated as though we were really special, yet of course we were just over night guests. 30 April 2002
