Mariette and Iman are the charming, helpful hosts of this lovely, peaceful self-contained bungalow. With incredible views from the large, homely lounge and outside decking aea, you can see rolling hills leading to both the Hauraki ul and Waikato Heads in the distance. Mariette is very ken to make sure you have everything you need, and 'delivered' us a delicious breakfast in asweet 'Goldilocks' basket at our specified time. So we sat outside, eating fresh coissants with local jams and honey and listened t the only sound - birds singing - bliss! They also recommended somewhere for dinner - back down the country lane a few kilometres into Clevedon, for the bestest fish and chips ever, whch we planned to bring back to eat in the bungalow, but wer SO delicious, we couldn't stop eating them, so sat in the car and wolfed tem down there! There's a 'bar/club' nearby, but unless you want to sit with 4 locals who are all betting on horse and trap races, I'd give it a miss and go back to the peacefulness of Clevedon Ridge to read some of the interesting books and guides on the bookcase ith a bottle of local wine instead. I highly recommend this bungalow in an idyllic setting. It's great place to recover from jet-lag and is only just over a scenic one hour drive from Auckland airport.
