This is the best place I've stayed in, in NZ and probably anywhere. The whole experience was wonderful, the hosts, Gerry and Sally, were so kind and helpful- they helped us plan our tour of NZ and gave us lots of useful insider info. Ponsonby is a beautiful little suburb of Auckland with a lively atmosphere and a real buzz about it. The hotel is so lovely and arty, I was made to feel right at home.

This was the best small hotel we have ever stayed in. So much more than just a B&B. It is off Ponsonby Rd so it really quiet, got a great night's sleep (really comfortable beds!). I've previously stayed on Ponsonby Rd but it's much too noisy, cars and buses going past all night. Hard to believe this place is in the middle of the most exciting part of the city but it's just a minute's walk up the lovely street.

10++++++ I am a New Zealander but I learnt so much information about NZ & Auckland from Sally. Beautiful garden, art work & friendly staff. Sally was able to direct me to all the local galleries & places I would never have found on my own.

I enjoyed staying so much at this lovely hotel... the hosts were so great, thoughtful and made feel like home. Sally and Gerry were wonderful, turning on our blankets on as coming from a summer country it was a relief to have a warm room and bed. The room and the bathroom was very clean. To please me is not so easy !! as I come from a Hotel background and I found nothing lacking in Great Ponsonby Hotel! Thank you very much for making my firsy visit to New Zealand very special. I used the lap top computer and all other facilities were very good. Thank you for the Wonderful service... Best Regards, Seda Yildiz

As first timers at using B & B's we were very impressed with this establishment. We found the Hosts very helpful introducing us to all the other guests making time chatting at the breakfast table a shear delight. They also assisted us in making our stay in Auckland avery pleasant one by their intimate knowledge of what was on offer and how best to travel to each venue.We stayed in the Penthouse which blew us away with a balcony overlooking the garden on which we enjoyed a wine at the end of each day. The free wireless internet also enabled us to keep in touch with what was happening at home while we were away. Finally we were impressed by the ambience and high standard of service at this B & B and would have no problem with recommending it to freinds as great value for money accommodation. 		(none)

Great location, close to CBD and Ponsonby Restaurants. Hosts very obliging and went out of their way to make sure that we were well looked after. We can highly recommend. Great to have free internet.

This is the best B&B I have stayed in NZ and I travel a lot. Great position close to everything. The hosts were knowledgeable and very helpful. If I get married again I will surely honeymoon here again. 05/01/04
