Number 18 is in a quiet no-through-road Victorian terrace off Inverleith Row, and is literally a minute's walk from the Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden and Arboretum, and a 15 minute walk to Princes Street. The centre of town is served by regular buses which take 5 minutes to get there.
Anna Rossi Raman (who is Italian and also speaks French) can recommend several good restaurants nearby. She also recommends you take the pleasant walk along the Water of Leith to Stockbridge and the Gallery of Modern Art.
