Inverleith Hotel  - Reviewed by Holly
Excellent small hotel only 1 mile from the centre of Edinburgh opposite the glorious Botanic Gardens. Had a very comfortable midweek stay. Exceptionally clean with lovely decor. Good local restaurants and very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely stay again.

Springrove House Bed and Breakfast  - Reviewed by Anjali Suzanne Angel
Rated 8 only because this is not a glamorous castle hotel! Instead, it is the rectory house of an old ruined church, and sits next to (or within) the graveyard. The house is very well renovated, with meticulous accommodation and fine people hosting. On the road between Edinburgh and Stirling, close to Linlithgow Castle, and lots of history in the area, it is worth the stop.

Auchmillan Guest House  - Reviewed by Jaana Wahlberg
I stayed at this guest house in Spring 2008 with my teenage daughter. Our stay (3 nights) was ok. What I was missing was cosyness. I thought that the owners were more present - people chatting to each other, listening to Scottish music etc. This place is for people who only need a place to overnight. I shall return to Scotland but I am going to find a guest house with real Scottish hosts :)

Comfy bed in large room. Poky facilities built in corner of bedroom but were useable. Lovely breakfast and hosts were accommodating. Would be happy to stay there again.

Kishmul  - Reviewed by E Blake-Palmer
We had a lovely weekend in this spectacular area of Scotland recently attending a wedding. What helped make it so memorable was the very comfortable accommodation we had at Kishmul B&B in Fettercairn. The room was warm and cosy, the breakfasts were sublime and the hosts were very kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble to them and Denise really did go the extra mile in making us feel really valued guests.

Throughly enjoyed our time at this clean, comfortable, reasonably priced b and b. We stayed at probably 10 b and b's during our trip to Scotland at this one had the best breakfast. Friendly host and great location too.

Hollyhouse  - Reviewed by Dafna Pardo
The best B&B on our 11 days trip to Scotland. Most elegant and spacious. Made me feel I was in a palace. Denise and Michael are wonderful. Happy to advice on anything and their advice always helpful. If it's how to get to Edinburgh (20 minutes train from nearest town) or where to find a shopping mall. Recommended to those who prefer the quiet of the country side to the crowded Edinburgh. Perfect location for a delightful stay.Extremely friendly hosts who make you feel part of the family. Beautiful house in an ideal position for visiting Edinburgh, the Fife Coast and as a stepping stone for further North.Bedroom very comfortable and breakfasts second to none. A " Must Place" giving full value for money.
