Originally a Victorian town house built in the late 1800's, Glendale now provides high standard, centrally heated Bed and Breakfast accommodation with large comfortable rooms. All our rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished with either private or en-suite facilities.
Our B&B Guest House is situated in a quiet location within four minutes walk of the Lake District Market Town centre of Keswick. The town of Keswick offers a wide variety of attractions including:- museums, galleries, shops, restaurants, pubs and a selection of beautiful parks.
Keswick is famous for its shopping and has, probably, the best range of outdoor equipment and climbing shops in the country. In addition we have a range of quality galleries, gift shops and book shops.
Derwentwater, the most picturesque of the lakes in the Lake District National Park, is only a ten-minute stroll from the Guest House, where you can catch the regular Keswick launch service to any of the six jetties around the lake. From there you can walk on Cat Bells, Maiden Moor and the many other beautiful fells around the Newlands Valley, or visit Ashness Bridge, Lodore Falls and the village of Grange. Whether you want to explore the filming locations of Miss Potter and those made famous in the books of Beatrix Potter, or head for the high Fells, or simply explore the Lake District landscape, it's all within reach.
We can help with planning your trips and provide packed lunches, maps, cycle storage and much more. How ever long your stay we promise a warm welcome and a comfortable stay with good food. Glendale Bed and Breakfast accommodation is the perfect base for walking and generally exploring Keswick and the Northern Lake District.
