If you're looking for reasonably priced accommodation in the fancier part of Birmingham, then go to the Awentsbury Hotel. It isn't knock-your-socks-off accommodation or hospitality, but is more than adequate and leaves no room for complaint.

What a lovely haven! Excellent for local travel but also for the beautiful lanes to walk along. Wonderful accomodations that are sparkling clean and spacious. This is a place to relax and rest!

If you loves places with loads of character but still want the creature comforts - like a really decent shower - this is the place for you. I stayed for one meting friends while on a whirlwind UK trip(May 2009) and out of the seven one nighters I had Cowleigh Park stood out as the best - great atmosphere, attention to detail, friendly hostess and excellent breakfast. Definitely would go back again.

A lovely house, beautifully restored, offering first rate accommodation and food with the warmest of welcomes. We enjoyed our weekend there enormously and hope to return there soon. Highly recommended.
