Sunningdale Guest House Accommodation
- Reviewed by Matt Thomas
I regret ever giving a 10 out of 10 before, because it means there is nothing higher for a place like Sunningdale. Not only is it genuine four star accommodation at a bargain price, but Judy & David are over and above in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. Thank you for a wonderful stay! |

One of the cheaper places in Newquay, and totally acceptable for the price. |

Awentsbury Hotel

If you're looking for reasonably priced accommodation in the fancier part of Birmingham, then go to the Awentsbury Hotel. It isn't knock-your-socks-off accommodation or hospitality, but is more than adequate and leaves no room for complaint. |

Absolutely perfect! Total luxury. Unfortunately, I'd booked for three nights but a computer glitch lost my booking so they could only accommodate me for one. However, they compensated for this by giving me a bigger room at far cheaper than their already excellent price. |

The b&B is very well situated for the airport and Hadrian's Wall and should be a gem, but it isn't. There is a real lack of care for visitor comfort. Our room was clean (although the shower cubicle could have done with a good clean round the bottom edges and to the tiles). However there were no pictures on the walls, the bedding didn't match the colour scheme (not difficult or expensive to achieve) and the towels were woefully inadequate. One was frayed and looked as if it had been washed with some darker items, making it look dirty. There was no hand towel, and no water glass, so rinsing after teeth brushing was messy. As for the tea/coffee making facilities, there was a kettle, a plastic tub with a few tea bags in it and a couple of mugs. For coffee you had to go downstairs, scoop in the coffee, go back upstairs to pour the water on then, if you take milk in coffee go back down to the fridge for milk. A milk jug would have been useful for early morning drinks. We visit the north east often but won't be staying there again. |
