We are in a country setting but have an easy 15 min walk along a waterway to many great restaurants and shops. Have enjoyed 20 yrs of making international and Canadian travelers welcome to our fabulous area. While here you can take a ride on a local steam train, enjoy a leisurly day cruise down the inlet, walk some of our many trails, golf, fish, swim in our lovely lake, tour the local wineries,bear watch and take part in many more adventures. Port Alberni is home base to people wanting to visit the Pacific Rim Nat'l Park only an 1 1/2hr drive over a scenic hwy. Kayaking in the Broken Group Islands starts with us in Port Alberni.
