Delightful, air conditioned, B&B, on tourist drive, just 1k from Mudgee and 3 ½ hours from Sydney.
We offer four modern en suite queen bedrooms, one with extra wide single bed. All rooms have digital TV/DVD players, air conditioning and overhead fans. A maximum of 9 guests can stay at Ardrossan. We have a private guest dining and sitting rooms with wood burning fireplace and a full entertainment centre with TV DVD, CD player and lots of movies. Ardrossan's library has lots of the latest novels,books and games. The guest kitchen is available to make light meals and a refreshing cuppa. The biscuit barrel is always full. Fully stocked with cutlery, glasses, plates, wine glasses and openers. 5 course gourmet cooked breakfasts served in the dining room each morning at a time to suit you. Our specialties are cereals, fruit salads, yogurts,breads,fresh fruit,Eggs Benedict, berry pancakes, French scrambled eggs, Ardrossan farmer's frittata and of course full English, with bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms. Fruit, chocolates, tea, coffee and snacks are available at all times.
A barbecue is available in the pool cabana.
Toiletries are provided, hair dryers, iron and ironing board.
A full gym with weight training equipment, a treadmill and trampoline for those who want to exercise.
Huge grape vine fringed verandah with comfortable tables and chairs overlooking 1000 acres of cattle grazing, surrounded by blue mountains. 10 acre parklike gardens. Huge heated swimming pool and 8 person spa. Native birds, lakes, water fountains and fish ponds. Farm animals with ducklings and lambs in season. Guests enjoy feeding the alpaca too.
Bush walking, biking, wine appreciation, fine dining and relaxing are the main attractions.
The 45 Mudgee cellar doors are minutes from Ardrossan. Honey Haven with delicious honeys and miniature golf is within walking distance.
The historic town of Gulgong, with the best pioneer museum, is 20 minutes away. The Cudgegong Gallery with the finest ceramics in Australia is a must visit, in Gulgong.
Art galleries, boutique shopping, exploring the Wollemi National Park, Windemere and Burrandong Dams for boating and fishing, 4 wheel driving, golf, tennis. So much to do when visiting Mudgee. Or you might prefer to chill out with a good book in front of the fire or on the veranda, sipping a nice glass of Mudgee wine.
